Willow Burl Hollowform
10 1/2 in. x 10 1/2 in. x 5 1/4 in. This thin walled vessel is, for me, one of a kind. I harvested the wood with
a friend in Columbia County NY. While beautiful, when I started turning it, while still soaking wet, it had a very unpleasant
odor. I finished it and promised myself that I'd not do another piece in this wood... Now that it is completely dry,
it doesn't have any residual odor and, look at it, it's a pleasant form and nicely finished by sanding it to 1200 and finishing
with micro-crystalline "Renaissance" wax.
